    Brief description: The Joint caves Monte Castillo is one of the most significant concerning the archaeological wealth of Cantabria, next to Altamira. It has paintings of horses, bison, deer, goats and mammoths

    Brief description: It was discovered on September 12, 1940 by four teenagers called: Marcel Ravidat, Jacques Marsal, Georges Agnel, y Simon Coencas, accompanied by ROBOT, Marcel´s dog.The cave was closed to the public in 1963.The responsible authorities projected back natural size of this Palaeolithic sanctuary, like the cave of Altamira.
